Pilot Fumi Raku Ballpoint Pen
With the Fumi Raku Line, Pilot set out to create a pen with a Japanese esthetic that would let the user comfortably write for as long desired. "Fumi" means letter or writing, while "Raku" means comfort or ease.
This particular model is part of the Modern Japanese series and represents the best of the Fumi Raku line. Its color is is called "Touki," the Japanese word for pottery or porcelain. While the barrel is made of aluminum, Pilot has successfully created a finish that makes you think of elegant bone china. A thin ridge spirals around the barrel, not unlike the edge of a cup or saucer, to complete the porcelain effect.
The grip is fashioned of smooth wood and turns effortlessly to extend or retract the pen tip. The pen barrel is adorned with an "FR" logo in gold on one side and "Pilot Japan" on the opposite side. The clip, nib, and center band all have a chrome finish.
