This premium brush pen can be used for both Japanese shodo and Western calligraphy. The tip utilizes synthetic fibers made to imitate horse hair but with even more precision and abrasion resistance. This added precision makes it especially easy to use for beginners while experts will undoubtedly see the quality. CDT partnered with Nara-based Kuretake, a company that has been manufacturing ink and brushes for over 100 years, to produce this pen. It comes in a wood gift box with decorative details by CDT and includes three spare ink cartridges.
