Palomino Blackwing Volumes - Vol. 205
**This limited release is no longer available, but we still have Blackwing 1 in stock.**
The 205 is the eighth pencil in Blackwing's limited Volumes series. It was inspired by jade, the precious rock that has been treasured across Asia for thousands of years. Jade is easily recognizable by its unique light-green color, and it often includes white marbling. This release is the first Blackwing Volume to include pencils finished in two different colors, with six coming in marbled green and six in marbled white. Jade has long been believed to protect its owners during travel and to encourage creativity and mental prowess, and it is the hope that this latest Volume encourages you in such efforts. The 205 is finished with a gold imprint and ferrule, a black eraser, and it includes Blackwing's firm graphite. The number 205 is a reference to the molecular weight of Jadeite.

After the initial success of Palomino's graded graphite pencils, Cal Cedar was able to revive the legendary Blackwing pencil. The Blackwing was originally a Eberhart-Faber pencil that had been discontinued and later obtained cult status as pencil aficionados were paying exorbitant amounts at auction for dead stock. The Blackwing had gained a reputation as the pencil of choice for Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer and Academy Award winners, and now they have become available to a whole new generation of creatives.
